About Julie Meyers Pron
Julie is the owner and editor of Just-Precious.com, founded in October 2009 and owner of The Bloggers’ Book Club. She has written as a Senior Writer and Editor for Mommies with Style since 2005. She is an active member of the Yahoo! Mother Board .
A freelance writer, Julie specializes in parenting, education, organization and travel. She’s been quoted in the New York Times & Pittsburgh Tribune, as well as being published through the MCT Syndicate, several Dallas and Philadelphia area newspapers, and Mailbox magazine. Julie has served as a Staples Holiday Blogger, a Bravado Mama Ambassador and is currently acting as a panelist for the planning of a major daytime talk show, debuting this fall.
A former elementary school teacher, professional journalist and marketing and PR rep, Julie is a lifetime Philadelphian, save a few years of college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas where she received her BA in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs. Off the internet, Julie is the President of the Parent/Teacher Organization at her children’s school (PTO).
Julie’s Public Relations experience includes Martha Tiller & Company, an agency in Dallas, the Tejas Girl Scout Council, and Southern Methodist University Admissions Department. In marketing, Julie worked for The Forbes Group and The EDGE Network on campaigns for Pizza Hut and Long John Silvers. In 1998, Julie received her Masters of Education in Elementary Education.
She currently resides with her husband and 3 children in the West Chester, PA, area.
About Kelly Whalen
Kelly’s blog the ¢entsible life is about family, finances, and fulfilling your dreams on a budget. She has been writing her blog since January 2009. Kelly has been working in social media since 2007 as a faciliatator and Co-President of a local community forum, and spent many years in parenting forums with an attachment parenting focus.
On top of her social media experience, Kelly brings traditional media experience. She has appeared on the Today Show twice and the 10! show on NBC Philadelphia numerous times.
Kelly’s advice and website have been featured for publications such as Money magazine, Woman’s Day, and USA Today. Her blog has been featured on websites such as the Consumerist, and MSN Money Blog. In May 2010 her blog was named a “Money Blog We Love,” by Woman’s Day magazine.
Kelly has been a stay at home mom for over 12 years. She has over 12 year experience with finding baby and kid products that really work on a budget. Her focus for her family has always been on organic, and environmentally friendly products. She offers brands an experienced mom perspective, and has worked with brands such as ConAgra Foods, Kenmore, Colgate, and Kmart. She is an active member of the Yahoo! Mother Board
Kelly resides in Chester County with her supportive husband, and 4 kids (ages 12, 8, 6 and 4).
